BAIL set at $20,000 for Aberdeen, NJ man…

Brandon Overbeck, 30 of Aberdeen, NJ was arrested and charged with resisting arrested, aggravated assault and aggravated assault on a police officer.  Aberdeen, NJ police were responding to an assault call on Sunday, May 25th at around 2:45 pm.  Overbeck, allegedly pushed Police Officer Michael Lasko and resisted arrested after being told he was under arrest.

Overbeck was taken to Monmouth County Correctional Facility in Freehold and was being held on $20,000 bail.

BAIL set for Keansbury, NJ pair…

Denney Bowers and Serrina Battista of Keansburg, NJ are both being charged after allegedly dealing cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school.  Bowers was charged with possession and distribution within 1,000 feet of a school and 500 feet of a park.  Bowers was sent to the Monmouth County Jail and bail was set at $130,000.  Battista was charged similarly and bail was set at $65,000.

BAIL set at $75,000 for Jackson, NJ main…

Christopher Tarver, 43, from Jackson, NJ was arrested today after being charged with 3- 2nd degree counts of endangering the welfare of a child and 3rd degree count of aggravated criminal sexual contact.  According to reports, this is the 2nd time Tarver has been charged with similar cases.  In April, Tarver was charged with sexually assaulting a male teenager and was charged with 2nd degree endangering the welfare of a child, 2nd degree sexual assault and 4th degree criminal sexual contact.  Both criminal cases occurred while Tarver served as the as Director of the Edison & Dunellen’s amateur traveling basketball team under the Amateur Athletic Union.

Tarver is being held in Middlesex County Jail on $75,000 bail.

BAIL set at $150,000 for Brick, NJ woman…

Katherine Schubert, 37 was arrested in Brick, NJ after she allegedly beat her 94 year-old grandmother, Mary Driscoll in her home.  Driscoll did not die, but she has multiple injuries, including bleeding in her brain and several bruises and cuts to her body.  According to reports, Schubert was intoxicated when the beating occurred.

Bail was set at $150,000 cash for Schubert.

$1,000,000 BAIL set for Freehold Borough man…

A Freehold Borough man, Sender Neftali Villatoro Reyes, 24, is being held in Monmouth County jail on $1,000,000 bond after being charged with 1st degree murder.  According to reports, police responded to a 911 call on 51 Hudson Street where they found 31 year-old Lucenay Fermin Gallegos unresponsive.  An autopsy later showed that Gallegos’ cause of death was asphyxiation due to manual strangulation.

If convicted of murder, Reyes facing 30 years to life in a state prison.

BAIL set at $5,000,000 for 2 South Jersey men…

Ramon Ortiz, 57, of Pennsauken and Carlos Alicea-Antonetti , 36, of Camden are being held in Camden County jail on $5,000,000 bail each.  According to reports, Ortiz and Alicea-Antonetti murdered Fatima Perez by burying her alive in Monroe, NJ.  Reportedly, both men were going to do Perez a favor and take her to buy a car.  Ms. Perez had $8,000 on her when they arrived to pick her up.  It is said, that Alicea and Perez got into an argument before he picked up his friend, Ortiz.  the two men tied her up before taking her to a wooded area in Monroe and dumping her body.

Bail has been set at $5,000,000 for each Ortiz and Alicia-Antonetti.

BAIL set at $550,000 each for 4 individuals in Bergen County…

Edgardo Vasquez-Lopez, 20, Christian Hernandez, 23, Lazaro Guiterez, 37, and Madelyn Ramos 37, all from Houston, Texas, were each being held at Bergen County Jail on $550,000 bail and are being charged with burglary, robbery and kidnapping.

According to reports, on Wednesday, May 14th, all four suspects knocked on the door of a 67 year old’s home in Paramus, NJ.  When the resident did not open the door, 2 of the suspects broke into the house and tied up the resident with a telephone cord.  It is also reported that they raided the home looking for valuables.  After ransacking the home, the suspects fled the location in a Dodge Caravan.

Hackensack police were out on an unrelated investigation when they saw the van on Route 4 and pursued the vehicle until they finally came to a stop in Teaneck, NJ.  The suspects attempted to flee the scene, but were caught by police.

BAIL set at $150,000 for Jamesburg, NJ man…

Naser Zucker, 19, of Jamesburg, NJ is currently being held in Middlesex County jail on a $150,000 bail.  According to reports, Zucker was originally arrested in an apartment on George Street and charged with possession and possession with the intent to distribute.  His original bail was set at $100,000.  However, while he was being held in the police station, Zucker somehow escaped police custody causing a lockdown of four schools in Jamesburg and Monroe.  He was later apprehended in a park after a patron saw him and told police.

When he was re-arrested, his bail was raised to $150,000 after being charged with escape.

BAIL set at $25,000 for Union City man…

Juan Borges, 53 of Union City was accused of possession of marijuana and cocaine and intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school and 500 feet of a public park.  On Monday, May 12th, he was found with cocaine and marijuana after his home was searched by police who had a court obtained search warrant.

Borges is currently being held in the Hudson County jail on $25,000 bail.  He was granted the 10% option…

BAIL increased from $50,000 to $500,000 for Newark, NJ woman…

On Wednesday, May 7th, Sakita Covington was babysitting 4 children in her Newark, NJ apartment.  The four children ranged in age from one to four years old.  According to reports, Covington left the apartment while caring for the children to pick up one of her children from school.  Unfortunately, during that time, one of the children, Naira Bennet, 4 years old, was playing near a folding bed when the folding mechanism snapped and shut around Naira’s head and neck.  Bennett was pronounced dead a few hours later.

Originally, bail was set at $50,000 for Covington after being charged with child endangerment and aggravated assault. However, after attending video court, Judge Marilyn Williams found that Covington was a “danger to the community” and raised her bail to $500,000.
